Job Title: HR Operations Officer

Location: Central London - you may be required to undertake some travel as may be reasonably necessary for the proper performance of your duties.

Position: Full Time, Permanent

This award-winning group and its associated companies provide actuarial advice, pensions consultancy, administration, risk, and investment services for pension scheme trustees, employers, private clients, Lloyd's insurers, and institutions.

They are currently looking for an HR Operations Officer to join their team in London on the Strand. The purpose of this role is to provide professional, accurate and timely HR Operational and advisory support to managers and staff across the group and to assist the HR Operations Manager on special projects and process improvement

Key Responsibilities:

HR:

* Ensuring all HR Operational data is recorded on the HRIS, in an accurate and timely fashion by the HR Assistant and HR Administrator.
* Extracting, manipulating and accurately present monthly or periodic HR queries and reports from HRIS. Analysing the data and pro-actively seeking opportunities for HR interventions.
* Maintaining the HR intranet, keeping all information up to date and accurate with the HR ops team.
* Understand all the modules of the HRIS (CASCADE), to help in the continued development of the HR system and to assist with user training as and when required.

Payroll:

* Support the Payroll Officer in the monthly payroll process for all the Group's payroll companies.
* Ensuring all payroll processes are completed on time.
* Assist in creation of supplier payments for the operations team.

Recruitment:

* Supporting the HR team with the onboarding of new staff to the Group.

HR Advisory:

* Supporting the HR Ops manager with ER casework covering the Group policies for absence, capability, disciplinary.
* Sickness absence - pro actively responding to sickness triggers, advising on follow up action, supporting managers in handling sickness absence, attending meetings and drafting appropriate letters;
* Probation terminations - guiding managers through the process, attending meetings and drafting relevant paperwork.
* TUPE transfers - support the management of TUPE transfer processes both within the Group and externally.
* With the ER/HR Ops Manager ensure HR policies are regularly reviewed and revised in line with legislation; proposing and drafting new policies where required.
* Running HR related internal training courses; developing and delivering new training courses where necessary and presenting at Group induction days where required.
* Manage all flexible working requests

Key Requirements:

* Proven experience in an HR Operations role, HR Business Partner or HR Advisor role. Although not exclusive, this role is likely to appeal to individuals with a minimum of 5 years' experience who are seeking a broad role within a small HR team.
* Previous experience in working with HR Systems including data manipulation, data queries and reporting.
* A CIPD qualification or part-qualification would be a distinct advantage.
* Experience of working within the professional services or financial services industry is preferable.
* Educated to a minimum of A Levels or equivalent standard.
* Given the nature of this position, higher academic qualifications e.g. a Degree, whilst desirable are not essential in order to perform the role, as personal characteristics and practical experience are more relevant criteria for selection purposes.
